Yahoo! Philippines recently kicked off Project Purple, an online social campaign that seeks to empower and encourage young Filipinos to pursue their passions using the Internet, which is, as we all know, a great tool of creative little young things. Hence, purple, the color that represents creativity and passion. It has found its newest ally in that little graphic design company called Team Manila. To mark their partnership with Yahoo!, Team Manila has just released two exclusive limited edition shirts that echo a Pinoy’s online experience.
With a list of partners that, among others, already include Ayala Land, Inc., Canon Philippines, Globe Telecom, and Honda Philippines, and artists like Aaron Roselo, Anjo Bolarda, and WeWillDoodle, the addition of Team Manila only makes the Project Purple movement stronger. Yahoo! has always been a brand that embodied innovation, uniqueness, creativity and passion. So, together with Team Manila and the other aforementioned brands, Project Purple hopes to promote those same values amongst Filipino users.
Project Purple has its Purple Hunt, a contest that has participants solving online clues through the Yahoo! Purple Hunt micro-site, and finding items around Metro Manila. The Purple Hunt, which began on June 2, has already given away prizes such as Purple Krispy Kreme doughnuts, Canon digital cameras and Blackberry mobile phones. These goodies are but stepping stones to the contest’s climax which will have a Honda Jazz as the grand goodie to give. The Purple Hunt Grand Finale will happen on July 25.
The said Jazz won’t be your average everyday Jazz however, as art-based performance group, WeWillDoodle will make it into an eye-catching, one-of-a-kind art piece.
