The second leg of the PiliPinas 2016 Debates did not disappoint despite a two-hour delay and the absence of crowd favorite Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago.

Presented by TV5, the event was held at the University of the Philippines in Cebu City where presidential hopefuls Vice President Jejomar Binay, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Senator Grace Poe, and former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas II shared the stage.

And, as expected, the candidates didn't hold back, trading barbs and insults over corruption, incompetence, and citizenship issues.

Here are 12 of the most heated quotes (and counter-quotes) from the presidential aspirants during the five-hour tension-filled political spectacle:

"Alam mo wala kang ginawa. And you are claiming credit that is not yours. Ang mahirap sa iyo Mar, you are a pretentious leader." –Duterte to Roxas regarding the latter's supposed credit-grabbing during his stint as Interior Secretary.

–Roxas to Binay regarding the corruption charges currently faced by the VP

"Alam mo, we are entitled to buy mamahalin kasi we have the best practice. –Binay's reply to Roxas in defense of his alleged anomalous dealings

–Poe to Duterte regarding what she'll do first if China's military attacks

"You're a fraud. –Duterte to Roxas regarding the issue that the latter is not really a Wharton graduate

–Roxas in defense of his Wharton degree

–Poe to Roxas about the immunity from prosecution afforded to certain members of the Liberal Party

–Binay to Roxas regarding a COA report that questions the latter's statement that 93-percent of Yolanda projects have been completed

–Roxas' response to Binay regarding the aforementioned COA report

"Al Gore came here, talked about environment, climate change. Bakit hindi niya makumbinsi ang bansa niya? Why can't they go to China and stop it? Why do they come here telling us what to do when as a matter of fact we need energy to develop, we are just a developing nation."
–Duterte slamming former US Vice President Al Gore who recently visited the country to promote his anti-global warming campaign

–Binay to Poe regarding the lady senator's claims that she is indeed Filipino

"Nasa paninilbihan yan. –Poe in response to Binay's claims that she rejected being a Filipino
