Most of the general public was given the day off after various suspensions in work and school was declared in Metro Manila and nearby areas due to inclement weather and flooding. The Palace announced suspension of work in government offices, while schools have canceled classes for the day.

This was primarily caused by heavy rains brought by Tropical Depression Maring, which made landfall in Quezon province on Tuesday morning.
