A new kind of selfie trend is taking the world by storm and we don't know how else to describe it, so we'll let this picture explain everything:

Sparrow Face
FHM Nation, this is the "Sparrow Face." Look it up!

Dubbed by Kotaku.com as the successor to the Duck Face, the Sparrow Face includes having to open your eyes as wide as possible while opening your mouth as if you're a chirping sparrow. While the schoolgirls of Japan and young celebrities such as Miley Cyrus and Ashley Tisdale are digging this new brand of selfie, seems to us the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. People who are not Japanese nor Miley think the "Sparrow Face" is the pinnacle of phony-ness.

And we would agree with them, except FHM babes do it too. The only difference is they've been getting away with it for years because they're doing it right. Please allow these ladies to demonstrate:

It may look vain and phony on selfies, but FHM Online Babe Jef Gaitan proves that the the look actually works when done in a masterful and sophisticated way.

And if you're a do-no-wrong hottie like FHM Online Babe Jeri Lee, you'd know that a hint of legs and a glimpse of your sideboob can always balance out the excessive pouting.

Would you take it against Melyssa Grace if she is naturally doe-eyed? And would you, by all means, hate to see her pout "like a baby bird waiting for a tasty worm," as the description suggests? No, sir, you will not. You will, in fact, go bonkers.
