It appears Stephen Curry's 'Baby-Faced Assassin' moniker does not only apply to his basketball play, but also when he's making the occasional social commentary.
Like the way breaks the hearts of opposing fans whenever he sinks an improbable game-winner, the reigning back-to-back NBA Most Valuable Player delivered a subtle yet brutal diss at US President Donald Trump.
This came after the CEO of Under Armour, in which he is currently signed, had good words for Trump recently. Kevin Plank told CNBC, "To have such a pro-business president is something that is a real asset for the country."
Being the sports brand's biggest endorser, Curry was immediately sought for comment on Plank's statement. Speaking to The Mercury News, this is what he has to say:
Ooh. That has to hurt more than any mocking tweet about the Curry 2 Low 'Chef,' despite the superstar and Plank having cleared the air shortly after.
Recall when people started ditching their New Balance pairs after the sportswear company advocated the presidency of Trump, who rejects the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Will another shoe-trashing ensue?
