A video showing an altercation between an abusive taxi driver and his passenger over a P20 tip has been making the rounds on social media.
In the nearly two-minute long video, the passenger is shown waiting to receive his change after paying P1,000 for a P61 fare from Baclaran to NAIA Terminal 1.
The passenger then told the driver that he could have P80 instead.
But the driver allegedly returned only P900 and insisted with various reasons that he should be paid P100, triggering the confrontation between the two.
The passenger identified the driver as Arnold Tabut Agron of Jomaritz Trans with driver's license number D04-94078993.
According to the passenger, the driver was initially asking him to pay P150 after he rode the taxi. He firmly declined and told the driver to turn the meter on, which angered the latter. The incident is the latest in a string of complaints against abusive taxi drivers. The most recent one happened last January after a taxi driver allegedly attacked his passenger with a katana after an argument.
