If you thought NBA players were only good at playing ball then you’re dead wrong. Case in point: Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson recently proved that he is so much more than just the shooting guard for the defending champs.
Apparently, the unassuming splash brother was randomly interviewed by a news team while walking along the streets of New York prior to their game against the Brooklyn Nets. Klay was asked for his reaction regarding a scaffolding that collapsed in the area which injured a handful of people. “I usually observe if the piping and stuff is new. Sometimes you know, something looks like it’s been there a while, and I try to avoid that,” he told Fox 5.
Whoa! We had no idea that Klay had such an expert opinion on scaffolding which he definitely gets top marks for. The clip immediately went viral while netizens showed some love for Klay’s candid side.
Klay coolly admitted after that it felt nice to be treated like a regular fellow every once in a while. “The camera man recognized me but she asked my profession just when I thought about the situation so I answered it truthfully,” he said.
His charisma usually lands him in the limelight despite being a low-profile guy. Here’s another time he was hilariously candid with totally random interview questions:
Even Klay Thompson’s doppelganger who did some epic trolling during a Warriors game got tons of love from the fans.
