ELLA CRUZ RECOVERING FROM INJURY

Our favorite celebrity dancer opened up on why she wasn't able to take part in the grand finals of the Clash of Celebrities segment of It's Showtime over the weekend. "Mayroon akong ginagawang stunt na nagawa na namin siya nang paulit-ulit. Pero nung isang beses, pagkahagis sa akin—nasalo naman po ako—pero pagkasalo ng upper body ko, 'yung lower body at paa ko, umitsa at um-over sa head ko so nag-bend 'yung buong likod ko po," Ella recounted in an interview with DZMM recently. MAINE MENDOZA RECEIVES GINTONG KABATAAN AWARD

Blessings continue to rain down on the overnight pop culture phenom as Maine was recently honored at the annual Gintong Kabataan Awards for being a positive influence to the youth. This comes after she and several of her Kalyeserye co-stars were given recognition at the first Catholic Social Media Awards for contributions to their viewers. Well deserved, Meng!

ANDREA DEL ROSARIO RUNS FOR VICE-MAYOR

After filing her Certificate of Candidacy for Vice Mayor of Calatagan, Batangas, the former FHM Cover Girl addressed "bullies" trying to bring her and her political ambitions down. Part of her Facebook post read, "Thank God for social networking we have a voice, where everybody can respond, defend and express themselves. Anyway, I'm up for the challenge. The former AV idol and June 2015 Cover Girl seems to be enjoying shooting her first Filipino movie, Nilalang, her MMFF entry alongside Cesar Montano. "I'm very excited. I've been waiting for this. Actually I was really scared at first because it's my first movie here and it’s my first time working with everybody, with foreign people," Miyabi shared to ABSCBNNews.com.
