It was raining hard one night so I found myself on the way home really later than usual. Hungry with no time to prepare anything, I ended up at a famous lugawan along Quirino Ave. I ordered lugaw and tokwa’t baboy, The taste of the food was fair enough for P25.
Halfway through my dinner, two mamang drivers arrived. One of them blurted out in his makatanggal tutuli voice, “Boss, dalawang titi nga!” I almost spat out my food from trying not to laugh. I was in awe at his request for a couple of minutes, until I realized that the lugawan was offering the infamous “Soup #5.”
