The two victims who claim to have been raped inside a colorum UV express van have asked President-elect Rodrigo Duterte to hand down the death penalty on the suspects immediately.

One of the victims broke down as she was being asked for her message to the incoming president, ABS-CBN reported.

“President [Duterte], kailangan namin ang tulong niyo. Wala ng dapat mabuhay na ganyan. Maraming mabibiktima, kaya kong manindigan patayin niyo lang siya, patayin niyo lang,” she cried out.

The victims, aged 22 and 27 years old, said they rode a UV Express van at Quezon Avenue around 10 p.m. on Friday.

But upon reaching the Batasan area, the driver and his accomplice declared a holdup and proceeded to rob them of their belongings.

The suspects then allegedly took turns to rape the victims who were already blindfolded by then. They were then dropped off on Sauyo Road on Saturday midnight.

One of the suspects, identified as Wilfredo Lorenzo, was caught on Monday and is now under police custody. He tested positive for illegal drugs. Lorenzo is facing multiple charges including rape, robbery, and illegal possession of drugs.

Meanwhile, authorities are still conducting a manhunt against the other his accomplice, an alias Buddy.
