From August 5 to 25, you can check out the very first solo photo exhibit of Monica Barretto, titled “The Starkness is Inviting.”
Through simple black and white portraits, the gallery aims to entice people to see that things are never really just as simple as they may seem; that no matter how “black and white” the subject may look, the number of interpretations could still be both numerous and complex.

Fresh grads, or those looking for new avenues to explore in their career should check out Jobstreet.com’s Jobgantic Career Fair 2011, which runs from August 12-13 at the SMX Convention Center Halls 2 and 3.

Jazzanova Live in Manila
Jurgen von Knoblauch of Berlin-based Jazzanova, who’s known for fusing Dancefloor, NuJazz, Broken Beat, modern Folk and Soul styles into their music, will be performing live in Manila tonight, August 12. The set happens over at TIME located at 7840, Makati Ave. Only 200 tickets are available, each going for P500.
