With summer almost over, you need to make the most out of your remaining weekends, so here are five of the best things to check out in these coming days. [firstpara]
1. See a movie. Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides is opening Friday, May 20
A few weeks ago, we were on a Thor high. If you’ve been following the site, you should know just what movie we’re obsessing about right now.
Yep, Johnny Depp and all his face-mangling ways are back in the fourth entry into the Pirates franchise, Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides.
On Stranger Tides, sees the return of one Jack Sparrow, and the coming of new characters, including one played by the always gorgeous Penelope Cruz.
In this new adventure, everyone’s favorite pirate sets out to search for the fountain of youth, and as always finds himself in a tight race with other groups looking for the same thing.
The film opens today in local cinemas everywhere.
2. Go to an exhibit. Quantum Cafe is hosting Inked
Satisfy your need for some exquisite art this weekend as Boy Garrovillo pays tribute to the art of getting inked by way of an exhibit.
This multimedia artist’s exhibit is aptly titled, Inked, and will be held at Quantum Cafe, 9590 Kamagong corner Bagtikan Streets, Makati City from May 20 to June 20.
The exhibit features pen and ink sketches against monochromatic backgrounds. On opening night, there will also be resounding performances by Kalayo.
