15th French Film Festival

Our friends from France are bringing their best films on our shores this weekend as the 15th French Film Festival happens this weekend at Shangri-la Cineplex 4 in Mandaluyong. Not only can you pretend to be some smart film connoisseur to your girl, it’s also a cheap date, as admission is free.

Here’s the screening schedule:

June 4, Friday
12 p.m. - Summer Hours
3 p.m. - The Girl on the Train
6 p.m. - Secret of the Grain
9 p.m. - God’s Offices

 June 5, Saturday
12 p.m. - The Girl on the Train
3 p.m. - Just Anybody
6 p.m. - Welcome
9 p.m. - Two Ladies

 June 6, Sunday
12 p.m. - Claire’s Knee
3 p.m. - Secret of the Grain
6 p.m. - Summer Hours

Party fever
Over at Amber UltraLounge at The Fort, it’s Finally It’s Friday featuring DJ Rico Arce, 3Mil Angeles and guest DJs spinning electro, remixes, house and top 40 beats. Cover charge is P500, which is inclusive of two drinks.

Jive Fridays, the longest-running party in the metro,  happens over at Manor in Eastwood City. DJ Marc Nicosia, DJ Roman Poe, and DJ Acid Burn will be spinning and keeping the dance floor burning.
The next night, June 5, is going to be just as hot, starting off with Sleepless Saturdays at Encore at The Fort featuring Santi and JT Rius with MC Pao.

Over at Tabu Lounge at Salcedo St. Legaspi Village in Makati, SpeakerPIMPS happens once again. And it has everything from house, hiphop, electro, even hard rocking beats from DJ Yoshiznit and DJ JP Sacaben! It’s definitely going to be a Saturday night to remember.
