It’s a day to analyze your spending habits, how it affects the economy, the culture, the environment, the world, essentially.
But—of course there is a but—a few BND gimmicks have been put up in the past. There have been credit card cut-ups, that is volunteers go to a mall with a sign offering to, well, physically cut your credit card.
The Zombie Walk is another popular BND ritual wherein volunteers dress up as zombies (with corporate logos) and go dancing in a mall. And then the Whirl-Mart where you and nine of your friends go to a supermarket, take a grocery cart each, line up and then do the conga without buying anything. Silly isn’t it?
