We stand by Solenn Heussaff on her quest to vindicate herself from the label that was given to her by French TV channel M6.

[firstpara] As her famous soda advertisement recounts, “Solenn is many things.”

Bimbo ain’t one of them.

For those out of the loop, a quick recap: the TV network recently featured Solenn as a prominent figure in their Stories of Gangsters, Drug Lords, and Bimbos report, putting her on the “bimbos” segment. (Click here to watch the documentary.)

Solenn has since seen the footage, and so the French-Filipina beauty went on to announce on her Twitter account that she is “very offended.”

And so you should be, Solenn, considering that her father took care of all the expenses necessary to bring M6’s TV crew to Boracay with the former Survivor Philippines castaway.

“All my friends are very well educated, respected, self-accomplished, down-to-earth and successful women,” says Solenn, on a statement she gave to PEP.ph. By the looks of things, woman can take care of business by herself.

But we had to make sure that Solenn is ahem, well-represented. So in an effort to defend Ms. Heussaff, here are four proofs that this lady is no bimbo:

She almost won Survivor Philippines
In a show that features 18 celebrities, Solenn managed to outplay, outwit, and outlast a respectable veterinarian in Doc Ferdz, a witty stand-up comedian in Pretty Trizsa, and a track-and-field athlete in Elma Muros. Solenn in fact, reached the finale, losing only to Akihiro Sato in the final two. No bimbo would have gone that far. Heck, a bimbo would have quit on day one.

Solenn’s more prominent than ever
Spoiled brat she is not. Solenn works hard day in and day out. Witness: Solenn is a commercial model, a multiple cover girl, a Channel V VJ, and is a debuting movie star. We’ve even worked with the lady not too long ago – Solenn was on board for our January 2011 cover shoot as Carla Humphries’ personal make-up artist. We’re sure she barely gets any sleep nowadays.

She’s got some serious cred in the make-up industry
This chick recently took beauty and fashion make-up courses at the Fleurimont School and at the Make Up For Ever Academy, both in Paris. And she does so for a reason – Solenn is looking to be an instructor for the Artistic course in Maquillage Professionel, a new make-up academy located in Bonifacio High Street. Yeah, she’s going to be teaching students. Not bimbo at all.

And what do you know – the Heussaffs are a family of artists
Solenn comes from a family with serious creative affiliations – relatives from her father’s side are all artists, while the ones on her mother’s side are known sculptors. Solenn herself is a legitimate painter, having been exposed to the culture as early as 3 years old. Videos of her artworks can in fact be found on YouTube, something that French network mustn’t have seen.
