What would be the weather like this month?
The “ber” months are very tricky. These are the Milenyo months kasi tumatawid ang bagyo from the eastern portion of the Philippines to the western portion. This will usually cross Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog, and Bicol. Sapul din ang Metro Manila so be prepared to experience extreme weather.
You’ve done your homework. Are you always like that?
Yes, even when it comes to the trivia I share. There is nothing I say on TV that I did not research. If you don’t learn these days, you’re either extremely stupid or lazy. When I was young, you have to go to the library, pipila ka for 20 minutes, get a couple of books na usually two lang ang maximum. But at this age, research became simpler. We have television, newspapers, cellular phones, plus the Internet.
Was being a weatherman part of your career plan?
My first love is really performing in front of people. But I didn’t know that I would make it as a weatherman. It was a head-versus-heart decision. The original plan was to break into mass media to help me get noticed for my re-election bid as a city councilor in Manila. But that didn’t push through and I ended up being with my original love.
