When did you fall in love with guitars?
Primarily, I’m a bass player. I started playing guitar in high school. When I went to college, I became a bass player for Razorback. Nung una hiram lang ako ng hiram until eventually I bought my own. It’s also a bit of a necessity because I play with all styles of music so it helps to have a big choice in instruments. Each bass kasi has a unique sound, which comes in handy if the musical situation calls for something else.
Any your preferred effects or gadgets?
Ever since talaga I’m already a Mac user. This one is actually the first G4 but is still very reliable—it never crashed on me. But we don’t use it for anything else like games or Internet. It has one purpose only and that is for recording. That way, mas malaki yung memory and we want to keep it as clean as possible.
What's your favorite book?
Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa. This is a seven book series about Miyamoto Musashi. He is a rebel na medyo tarantado but has a good heart. Almost every other chapter umiinom siya ng sake and I really love sake. But this is not manga. In fact, it’s a classic.
