The PBA opens its 43rd season on Sunday, December 17, and you know what that means: intense local hoops action is back, and even for one night only, a dozen women lighting up the darkened Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

TNT KaTropa - Laura Lehmann

Our candidate to the Miss World 2017 pageant was a former women's national softball team member, before serving as courtside reporter for Ateneo.

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel - Myrtle Sarrosa

The newest Ginebra calendar girl and FHM November 2014 cover girl apparently spent time on the sidelines during Season 91 of the NCAA.

Phoenix Fuel Masters - Rhian Ramos

NLEX Road Warriors - Rachel Anne Daquis

The two-time FHM muse—October 2014, June 2016—continues to be one of the faces of volleyball in the country, with numerous awards and titles under her belt.

Kia Picanto - Phoemela Baranda

GlobalPort Batang Pier - Hillarie Parungao

Hillarie, who finished in the Top 10 of Miss World 2015, is quite the sports fan, idolizing the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Kobe Bryant.

Blackwater Elite - Ashley Ortega

The actress-host once won eight gold medals while representing the Philippines in figure skating competitions abroad. She is a good friend of Michael Martinez.

Magnolia Hotshots - Jodie Tarasek

Paulo Avelino's girlfriend may have no record of competitive sports, but starring in a beer commercial alongside a PBA player (Sol Mercado) counts, right?
