The winners of Century Tuna Superbods 2018 were announced last Thursday, April 12. Four winners were declared this year for two categories: the young and the ageless.
For the ageless category, you might be familiar with the female winner, miss Angel Jones. Your memories aren’t failing you, sir—the 39-year-old half-Filipina, half-Mexicana was the former vocalist for ‘90s band Kulay.
The millennials might know Angel as the mom of ABS-CBN actor Tony Labrusca.
In an interview with Pep.ph, Angel shared how happy she was for being the first-ever Century Tuna Superbods Ageless Winner.
“A part of me feels like I deserved it because I worked so hard, and I just had it in my mind. And I did everything that it took, which meant the mental, physical, my attitude,” she said. “I'm in disbelief, but I also know that I worked so hard to get here so I feel so proud of myself right now.”
Just like the brand’s endorsers (and FHM cover girls), Sunshine Cruz, Alice Dixson, and Ina Raymundo, Angel proves that age is definitely not a hindrance when it comes to staying fit (and sexy). In between her duties as a mother, and jobs as a life coach, host, vlogger, and of course, singer, Angel makes sure that she still has time to hit the gym.
But just like any other normal human being, she admits that there are some days when it’s hard to get up and work out. And when that happens, Angel has some advice for you:
“Just think of how satisfying it is to be that hot ex. The best revenge is a glow up and success.”
