At first glance, first-time FHM cover girl Arra San Agustin could easily pass off as a half-foreigner. Besides Valeen Montenegro, the 22-year-old actress-model is the other Bubble Gang Girl who can be mistaken for being of mixed heritage.
Her mestiza tone, imported features, distinct profile—you can't blame us for asking if she is an American by any chance.
Arra explains in the spoils of the magazine interview that her mom conceived her while feasting on coconuts and even shrimps. "Siguro kaya malikot daw ako matulog—malikot ba yung hipon? Maybe that's why I have a fair complexion kasi pinaglihi ako sa buko. Joke! Sabaw!"
If her looks can be deceiving, just wait till you hear her talk. We even had to apologize for judging her manner of speaking.
Di ako conyo, guys, hu hu! I can code switch," Arra says. "Kaya kong mag-Tagalog...baka I'm just used to it. Di ko alam, ha ha! Ang hirap kasi kapag diretsong Tagalog, so sometimes may nahahalo. Seryoso. This is just the way I talk."
Be careful exchanging thoughts with her, though, for the StarStruck (Season 6) alum may be trying to read your mind, which was her well-thought answer to our question about her superpower of choice.
Arra tells, "Telekinesis. That way I can compel them! Pero manipulate? Grabe, di naman, ha ha! Well, kung may chance ako, sige. But it wouldn't be an obsession." (We'd gladly be under the control of any of the eight FHM muses this month!)
