The stage is set for Asia's grandest pop culture gathering, the first-ever AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2015!

Happening from September 17 to 20 at the World Trade Center, Pasay, everyone—cosplay pros, big or small-screen buffs, toy connoiseurs, aficionados—is welcome to take part in this historic event.

Being fans of pop culture ourselves, your best buds here at FHM HQ recently attended APCC Manila's press conference and got a sneak peek at everything that will transpire in the three-day extravaganza.

The momentous occasion will essentially be a red carpet with its surplus of foreign movie and TV stars like:

- Paul Bettany, who played no less than The Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron
- Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei, Game of Thrones)
- Chad Michael Murray (Agent Carter, One Tree Hill)
- Colton Haynes (Teen Wolf, Arrow)
- Goldberg of WWE fame
- America's Next Top Model's Allison Harvard
- Jeremy Shada, who voices Finn the Human from Adventure Time, with his band Make Out Monday

The Cosplay Authority Global Challenge (CAGE) will hand out a record-breaking grand prize pot of up to $10,000. The CAGE's esteemed panel of judges consists of international prop and costume artisan Bill Doran; renowned cosplayers Alodia Gosiengfiao and Vampy Bit Me (Linda Le); everybody's favorite cosplay lensman Jay Tablante; and Allison Harvard.


Attention, fans of the star-spangled soldier. During the press conference, it was also announced that a trailer of Captain America: Civil War will be exclusively screened at the event, featuring never-before-seen scenes from the superhero franchise. YAY!

Aside from Alodia and Vampy, international cosplayers LeeAnna Vamp (aka as the Ghoul Of Your Dreams); Monika Lee and Riki "Riddle" Lecotey (both formerly of reality show Heroes of Cosplay) will also spice up the skin-tight spectacle. Ready your shooters!


Acclaimed toy designer J*RYU and tokidoki co-founder and creative director Simone Legno, together with mixed media artist Amanda Louise Spayd, and sculptor-painter Chris Ryniak, will enlighten attendees on the art of toy-making.

J*RYU, or Jesse Yu in real life, will also debut the 20-inch "It's a FAD" Dunny, as seen in the picture above.
