StarStruck 6 Ultimate Female Survivor Klea Pineda is the country’s official representative to this year’s Asian Supermodel Contest.
Now on its 11th year, the Asian Supermodel Contest is an annual event sponsored by the China Fashion Designers Association and the China Bentley Culture Development Co., Ltd., the biggest modelling management company in Asia. The contest is usually broadcasted on Guangxi TV and has about 60 million viewers a year.
Representatives from Taiwan, Mongolia, Japan, Korea, China, Uzbekistan, Thailand, India, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Russia, and New Zealand are currently in Saipan, US, for the pageant proper.
Before leaving the country last Sunday, Klea underwent training with Miss Universe 2013 third runner-up Ariella Arida to gear her up for the competition.
In an interview with GMA News, Klea shared how proud she is to be the Philippine representative for the contest.
“I feel so blessed and honored to be chosen and trusted to represent our country!” she said. “Of course, I'm a bit nervous too since it's my first time to go out of the country for such a competition but I'm more excited for all the challenges and adventures I'll be having! I can't wait! This is probably one of the best highlights of my 2017!”
With her charm and confidence, there’s no doubt that the 18-year-old beauty will follow the footsteps of her fellow StarStruck alumni who made it big in showbiz: FHM cover girls Jennylyn Mercado, Cristine Reyes, Kris Bernal, LJ Reyes, Jackie Rice, Ryza Cenon, Katrina Halili, Iwa Moto, Jade Lopez, and Steff Prescott; and beauty queens Rich Asuncion and Megan Young.
After this contest, Klea is set to star in GMA’s newest fantaserye for 2018, Sirkus, where she’ll play the role of a mysterious fire-breather.
But before anything else, let’s take a look at some of Klea’s gorgeous snaps and see why the country has a huge chance of winning the much-coveted Asian Supermodel title this time around.
Whether it’s a selfie…
Or something that’s a bit pose-y…
Klea sure knows how to work it in front of the camera!
Best of luck, Klea!
