Buying a cup of Starbucks' Frappuccino is a staple in life for a lot of people these days. But do these people—including you—know the real purpose of the lid of their drinks?

As it turns out, that little plastic disk has an entirely other function than merely keeping your beverage intact. It can also serve as a coaster.

Just take the lid off and you'll find three little plastic ridges on the underside which form a kind of circle. Click the bottom of your cup in there and you have yourself a handy, yet sturdy drink coaster.
