Standing at a towering 6-foot-9-inches tall and weighing in at 420 pounds, Icelandic actor and strongman Hafthor Julius Björnsson is someone you do not want to mess with.
As a strongman, Björnsson had broken several records, including a thousand-year-old one held by Viking and fellow Icelander Orm Storolfsson when the former carried a 32-foot (9.8 m) long and 1,433-pound (650 kg) log for five steps in 2015.
Björnsson is also currently the holder of the title "Europe's Strongest Man" for two years now.
Aside from lifting, Björnsson is also currently taking advantage of his amazing physique to portray the character Gregor Clegane in the popular HBO television series Game of Thrones.
In the show, Clegane, also known as The Mountain because of his freakishly huge size, is a notoriously fearsome warrior who has a tendency towards extreme and at times, excessive violence.
However, did you know that The Mountain wasn't always the towering hulk we've come to know (and fear)?
Yup, that above is a photo of Björnsson taken 10 years ago, when he was only 17 years old and the starting center for the professional basketball club K.R. Basket Reykjavík which plays in the Icelandic Premier League.
Unfortunately, his hoops career was cut short after suffering a severe knee injury when he was 20.
You think The Kraken can take on The Mountain, one-on-one?
