AXN, premieres April 12, Thursday 7PM
Transpose the intensity and terse scowl of Chuck Norris into a Japanese schoolgirl and you get the feisty Saya Otonashi. Set in a US airbase in Japan during the Vietnam War, Saya poses as a student to enter the base where vampires lurk. The katana-wielding heroine hunts these bloodsuckers and slaughters them because there’s just not enough bloodshed going on, what with the Vietnam War and all. Against the goth-esque grotesque setting, the animation uses light and dazzling colors for stunning visuals.
