If you’re into animated movies and have some spare time then you might want to check out Kimi no Na wa (Your Name), which is now showing in selected malls in the country.
The Japanese box office hit will run for a week prior to the annual 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival where local films take the spotlight.
Kimi no Na wa is originally a Japanese novel by writer-director Makoto Shinkai, which features a story of love and friendship between two high schoolers who have never met.
They inevitably get to know each other through their gender-swapping dreams where they switch bodies and experience each other’s life.
According to Anime News Network, Kimi no Na wa has so far earned P8.7 billion, making it the fifth top grossing movie in Japan.
Since its release in August, the film has topped Japanese charts for a total of 12 weekends.
If you’re still not sold then here’s the movie trailer to convince you to watch it.
