The second teaser for the much-awaited sequel to the blockbuster Heneral Luna, and a part of director Jerrold Tarrog's cinematic universe, starts off with fictional journalist Joven Hernando (reprised by Aaron Villaflor) trailing De Pilar in his exploits during the Philippine-American War. Other highlighted characters in the first look were Apolinario Mabini (Epy Quizon) and Emilio Aguinaldo (Mon Confiado), not to mention a couple of Goyo's love interests (Gwen Zamora, Empress Schuck).
The initial trailer dropped seven months ago, followed by the behind-the-scenes video earlier this year, so this level of anticipation among fans wasn't really surprising. Netizens were literally freaking out after the one-and-a-half-minute clip went live.
Unbelievable but not actually fictional
And now we wait
Even the actor who plays Goyo has that 'lover boy' charm
The same cannot be said post-screening
This dude even broke down the sneak peek in hilarious fashion
Even Goyo's official Twitter can't help but react to his own teaser
