After a series of his "indefensible" 2008-2011 tweets were pulled out of the history pages of Twitter, James Gunn was fired by Disney late last month.

With his statements and jokes making references to pedophilia and molestation, the bullets from critics have continued to shower Gunn. This, however, wasn't as one-sided as most thought it would be, as both fan and celebrity circles were largely split down the middle.

There are those who completely agree with Disney on their decision and have put Gunn in the hot seat. Others have sided with Gunn through thick and thin and have wondered why Disney didn't do their research before even hiring Gunn in the first place.

One actor who's really pissed off with what happened is former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista, who plays Drax. He even stated in an interview that this "was a smear campaign on a good man."

"I spoke to Chris Pratt the day after it happened and he’s a bit religious so he wanted time to pray and figure it out, but I was more like: fuck this. This is bullshit. James is one of the kindest, most decent people I’ve met."

Dave Bautista also tweeted this just recently:

Bautista said Gunn had already turned in the script for the latest installment in the franchise. And just when we thought there would be no more developments in this story, one just arrived.

We are now a couple of weeks removed since James Gunn's exit was announced, but Disney apparently now wants to use Gunn's script for the second sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3.

While a deal is still in the works, we looked for all the Hollywood personalities like Dave Bautista that have Gunn's back even after his termination. Even though some key actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Hiddleston, Chadwick Boseman, Andy Serkis, Evangeline Lilly, among others have unfollowed the GOTG director, some, even people from outside the MCU dome, have continued to support him.
