There’s a new Marvel show in town and it’s got something to do with our favorite team composed of superhero mutants.

Marvel’s new show is titled The Gifted and will be presented as a TV series on Fox. It was previously revealed that it will somehow be linked to the X-Men franchise.

The story revolves around a regular suburban family, whose life quickly changes after the parents, played by Stephen Moyer (True Blood) and Amy Acker (Person of Interest), find out their children have mutant powers.

They are then forced to join an underground organization to fight for their survival against a government which is hell-bent on collecting mutants.

Other stars in the series include Natalie Alyn Lind, Percy Hynes White, Emma Dumont and Jamie Chung.

The Gifted will be directed by Bryan Singer, who has handled various X-Men movies.

The show is expected to be released in fall of 2017 but no specific date has been revealed. IMDb meanwhile lists a June 2017 release date.
