Earlier today, Lucasfilm unveiled a full-length sneak peek of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The official trailer is nothing short of action-packed and drama-filled, courtesy of Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
The extended teaser of the Rian Johnson-helmed installment will surely generate a lot of fan theories. Watch:
Below is FHM's trailer breakdown:
The only thing that can rival Supreme Leader Snoke's (Andy Serkis) hair-raising narration is the majestic sight of AT-ATs plodding through the barren field. Although a white lightsaber-wielding Rey may have something to say about that.
It's Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) turn to be an unshaven mentor to the fledgling Jedi, who is shown slashing the air and even splitting the earth. The teacher then recalls harsh memories after witnessing Rey's "raw strength" up close.
Kylo looks like he is poised for a breakout performance, killing it just with his death stare. The trailer cuts to TIE fighters streaking across space and the very sad face of General Leia (the late Carrie Fisher) looking like something tragic has happened.
Chewbacca lets out his iconic roar, interrupted by shrieking from a new creature. Former stormtrooper (John Boyega) finally emerges in a fiery swordfight with Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), and from there, all hell breaks loose.
BB-8, arctic wolves, and pilot Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) have their moments, all while spacefighters crash and burn. Rey tells Kylo, "I need someone to show me my place in all this," to which the latter responds by extending his hand. So, is a betrayal possible?
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit cinemas in December.
