If you saw the disparity between dislikes (over 72,000) and the number of thumbs ups (almost 50,000, as of this writing), then you were most likely led to believe that the first trailer for the Ghostbusters reboot isn't too impressive.
But if you actually did fully watch it, you'd have to agree that not only does it look better—quite understandable since the original film came out 32 years ago—but also, an all-female ghostbusting team (Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones) offers a breath of fresh air.We mean, we'd rather have this than a desperate and shoddy knockoff of Bill Murray and Co.'s characters. And they might as well take advantage of the luxury of computer-generated imagery, right?
As for the storyline and script, we hope it would be as scarily good as the new versions of the iconic soundtrack and the Ecto-1. One thing we wouldn't mind exaggerating? The amount of slime in this one.
