The final trailer for Aquaman was just released with tons of new footage and reveals even more of Arthur Curry's backstory. Technically, Aquaman is supposed to be set after the events of Justice League, but the trailer obviously goes back to the time when Arthur was just a boy and first discovers his powers.
Compared to previously released trailers, this one focuses on Aquaman's search for the Trident, which supposedly holds the true power of Atlantis which can unite both the surface and underwater worlds (if you didn't notice, Aquaman was brandishing a 4-pronged spear in Justice League).
Although the trailer hints at Arthur Curry succeeding in his quest to reclaim the throne of Atlantis, complete with a shot of him donning a more badass version of his iconic orange and green armor, we know that something must have not gone as planned since he did not seem too "Regal" when Bruce Wayne met him in the tiny fishing village in Justice League.
Nonetheless, we break down the final trailer and anticipate what looks to be a truly fun ride!
