The entertainment industry is in shock following news of director Wenn Deramas' death. He was 49.

Deramas' best friend and manager, June Rufino, confirmed the sad development in an interview with DZMM TeleRadyo earlier today. Upon arriving at Capitol Medical Center where his sister was rushed due to a heart attack, the director himself suffered and eventually succumbed to cardiac arrest after being informed of the former's death.

Friends from showbiz are mourning the passing of Deramas, who reportedly also suffered a minor stroke in 2013 which led to a brief hiatus.

The box-office director had been at the helm of many top-grossing local films, many of which were comedy flicks. He also dabbled in drama during the initial part of his career, and horror later on.

We here at FHM, while truly saddened by the loss, honor Direk Wenn with a compilation of some of the best hits from his illustrious filmography.
