If you haven’t been looking at social media or watching on TV, then you haven’t probably heard of the two biggest celebrity engagements. Yes, we are talking about, first, pop superstar Justin Bieber’s engagement to Drop the Mic host, Hailey Baldwin after just a month of dating, which has gathered a lot of different reactions ranging from “WTF?! Too soon!” to “JELENA THOOOOOOO”. And of course,  just about a month ago, our queen of pop and petite sex appeal Ariana Grande got engaged to SNL comedian and all-around funny guy Pete Davidson, who just started dating barely a month before Davidson put a ring on it.

And if you’re wondering what the connection is between Bieber and Grande’s respective relationships other than being the quickest engagements in recent memory, it is pop super-manager Scooter Braun. If you don't know who Scooter Braun is, let us drop some knowledge on you.

Scott Samuel "Scooter" Braun has many jobs under his belt, but we're going to focus on him being a talent manager for the biggest artists in the world, some of whom you may have heard of: Tori Kelly, Carly Rae Jepsen, Martin Garrix, Psy, and some guy named Kanye West, which will get to a little bit later.

But for now, if you're not a #Belieber, which we assume you're not, 12-year-old Justin Bieber was discovered by Scooter when he saw the now-infamous pop star's song cover video on YouTube. He soon produced the highest-grossing documentary to date in 2011, Never Say Never, and eventually molded the Biebs into superstardom. So, Justin owes everything, his success, career, fame, fortune, to Scooter.

Not long after that, in 2013, Scooter signed Ariana Grande to his management SB Projects. Soon after of course, we witnessed the singing prowess of Grande in her debut studio album, Yours Truly. Scooter then became her main manager handling all aspects of her carrer in 2016.

Now that every seed has been planted for your understanding, a since-been-deleted tweet suggested a connection between the two pop superstars' respective relationships and engagements to Scooter's "managing" skills. Ariana reacted to the tweet, but that was deleted also. Luckily, a netizen was able to grab a screenshot of it.

Of course, no one has sufficient evidence that this may be true, and we are all generally happy for the two couples taking a big step in their relationships, but if this fan's suggestible statement is right, then Scooter is the biggest winner of them all.

It may be an underhanded move, but looking deep enough into it will birth conspiracy theories in your head.

When Ariana Grande released the lead single entitled No Tears Left to Cry on April 20 for her fourth studio album Sweetener, of course, it shook the world and got everyone crazy excited for her new album. And then after a while, everything died down again. Then, Ariana and rap star MacMiller, after dating since 2016, ended their relationship a month after the song was released. Then days later, Pete Davidson broke up with two-year girlfriend, Cazzie Davis. Then Pete and Ariana started dating after that. And, of course, a month later, we would just be blown away by the news that the two have gotten engaged, just in time for Sweetener, which is coming out this July 20th. Engagement = Publicity = Album sales.

And for Justin Bieber, well, he's been outside the limelight recently, especially after he and long-time girlfriend Selena Gomez broke up. And there have been talks about him trying to find God and keep his act straight. But the Biebs keeps lashing out and returning to his old ways. Then suddenly he began dating Hailey Baldwin again after the two dated way back in 2016. And we all know what happened after also a month of dating, putting Bieber on the good side of the limelight once again.

Back in April, Scooter Braun was seemingly fired by hip-hop and R&B icon, Kanye West, after serving as the latter's manager for the past two and a half years. Scooter described his last couple of weeks with Ye as "rough," especially considering the artist proclaiming support for Donald Trump and calling slavery a "choice." Although, Scooter believes that this was just a manic episode for Kanye that's caused by his bipolar disorder. But then, merely days after the announcement of Bieber and Baldwin's engagement, Kanye supposedly called up Scooter and told him that "a lot of things got out of hand" and that they're "brothers" and asked Scooter to "come help." Now they're officially working together again, but don't call Scooter Kanye's manager because Ye might feed you to a flock of flamingos, or some other otherworldly stuff.

Now if this were true and that getting Ariana and Justin engaged was a part of his plan to win Kanye back, then it's one of the most layered and intricate plans of a manager to sky rocket his clients' fame and publicity. And of course, Scooter Braun is the biggest winner of all, because a big publicity for his clients equals big money for him as well.

This is all just speculation, however, and we are not accusing anyone of orchestrating something like this, but it is fun to pick up on the little things that may change how you see the ever-evolving works of the world and the people in it.
