With more EDM hitting the radio, new listeners are finally discovering the dance music scene, and for sure, you're bound to meet more newbies hitting their first EDM concerts anytime soon. The nearest EDM party on the radar? Neverland Manila, which is happening on December 9 and 10. To excite you more, here's the official teaser of the event:

Attending a concert for the first time need not be an intimidating experience. If you’re one of those who are new to the scene, don't fret because we've got you covered. To make sure that your Neverland Manila—or any other gig experience—is as fantastic as possible, FHM listed several tips to help you survive the much-anticipated show.

1) Be prepared for traffic

If you thought you are already desensitized with all the traffic jams you face on a daily basis, well, think again. We are sure that you’ll be stuck an hour or so while braving the road to SM Mall Of Asia—and you’ll be more irritated than ever. Our advice: Leave early. Better hang around the area than to miss even a minute of good music, right? Better yet, ditch your personal cars and carpool with your friends instead. Play that Martin Garrix music while you're at it, too, for more good vibes.

2) Bring running shoes

You might already have an outfit in mind for this concert: new polo shirt, new shoes, new everything. But trust us, running shoes are the best option to kick ass at a rave party. Kicks allow you to comfortably go from one place to another, as well as easily jump up and down when the party music starts. Save that leather shoes for later.

3) Be prepared for inclement weather

Neverland Manila 2016 is happening on SM Mall Of Asia Concert Grounds… you know what it means: open air. Our country is known for having unpredictable weather. So it’s best to come prepared for this event. Tie your trusty jacket around your waist, and bring a kapote and umbrella (or leave it inside the car). Better be safe than let the dampness of your shirt ruin the night.

4) Wear a waterproof Ziploc pouch

Those waterproof bags you usually wear around your neck when you’re on the beach are actually useful even if you’re not on vacation. Stash your phone, cash, credit cards, and identification cards here for easy access.

5) Drink water

Nope, alcohol and softdrinks will never satisfy your body’s need for water.  Drink up, man! You’ll need to replace all that sweat from singing and dancing. Hydration is important, you don’t want to be a lantang gulay during the last few sets, right?

6) Always be vigilant

Trust your instinct, if you see a suspicious looking person around, stay away from him. Don’t get too lost into the music that you’ll start to lose yourself…and eventually lose your stuff. Be aware of your surroundings. Also, don’t accept water, food, or other stuff from other concert-goers—you’ll never know what those yummy-looking candies really are.

7) Do the buddy system

If you’re going with the girlfriend, obviously, she’s your responsibility. On the other hand, if you’re with the barkada, better have a buddy system. You and your partner should keep an eye on each other during the whole event. Never leave a spot alone, buy stuff alone, talk to strangers alone, just, don’t do things alone. You have a buddy, remember. Stick together.

8) Have a rendezvous point with friends

Settle on a meeting point upon arriving. That way, in case your phone gets lost or its battery is drained, you’ll still know where to meet your friends.

Have extra cash and extra battery pack

To survive an outdoor music festival, there are two important things that you need: extra cash and extra battery pack for your mobile phone. Prior to that, make sure that your mobile phone is fully charged, as well.

Obviously, a mobile phone will keep you in contact with your friends or partner if you lost track of them. Other than that, of course, your phone’s there to capture the best moments at Neverland Manila and share it on your social media accounts instantly.

Extra cash? Of course! Always bring enough cash to party, buy foods and drinks at the event. Like what we said earlier, you need to stay hydrated all the time as you need energy to party hard!

10) Have fun

Last but not the least, of course, don’t forget to have one helluva fun time with your buddies! Word-class DJs are in front of you, guys, they deserve world-class partying from you, too!
