Admit it. The idea has crossed your mind. What if, instead of just being another club-goer, you're the one making all the club-goers jump? What if you're the one on the decks, making all the party people, well, party hard to the music you're playing?

Think you're up for it? For a head start, we recommend checking out the Electronic Music Conference and Expo (EMEX) 2014 at the SMX Convention Center inside SM Aura. Happening from today, July 17, to July 19, the EMEX is the Philippines' only music conference where attendees can rub elbows with the clubbing industry's electronic music producers and DJs—and learn a thing or two from them.

The three-day conference is a boon for any budding DJ or music producer as it holds workshops, panel discussions, product exhibitions, and equipment demos. Practically everything, from the technical aspects to the more artful side of being a nightlife pro and electronic artist, is covered. Mere enthusiasts and supporters of the club scene will also have a field day as the event also features live performances from the best in the biz today.

Just to give you a preview, here's a quick rundown of what's going to happen tomorrow, July 18:

And here's a part of what's on the menu for Saturday, July 19:

Consider it a short course for electronic music fans and clubbers out there who want to become a bigger part of the scene. EMEX 2014 is a music conference geared towards inspiration, instruction and initiation. Who knows, maybe after a visit here, you'll be a competing at Red Bull's DJ competition a year later? Don't miss it!
