Eraserheads, you sly devil you.
Earlier this month, the Filipino Fab Four teased us by recreating their first album’s iconic cover photo.
This, of course, sparked major nostalgia, brought buckets of tears to our eyes, and caused tons of reunion prayers from friends and fans all over the world.
Looks like those litanies have finally been answered.
One boring afternoon, while almost everyone’s lounging on Facebook, waiting for the clock to strike five, the Eraserheads posted this picture on their official Facebook page.
For a while there, as news about this post spread, netizens found it quite difficult to contain their excitement.
Initial reactions to it were predictable: Will they finally come out with an album next month? Will the dates of their much-awaited reunion gig be announced?
But before you sell your stuff and work overtime nonstop to beef up funds for your the concert tickets, stop. Take a closer look at the picture this time. Now can you see the words, “Official Merchandise,” written below? Sorry to burst your bubble, folks.
Still don't feel so down because this is a good sign. Who knows—maybe after the TV commercial, the photos, the merch—something big will happen just before the years end.
Now that would be the day, wouldn't it? As we all wait for that to happen, let take this news as a step towards the right direction. While we're at it, why don't we all look back at some of the most memorable must-haves from the Eraserheads x Team Manila collab from years back.
