Before carrying on, our sincere thanks to the meek maestro Johnnoy Danao for satisfying our acoustic palate the whole month of March with his wonderful songs.

In Volume 2 of FHM Sessions, we are quite honored to present our next musical feature—Johnoy's "3D" buddy, alongside up-and-coming folk artisan Bullet Dumas—renowned singer-songwriter Ebe Dancel.

When not performing with his new band or low-key touring with 3D, the former Sugarfree frontman relishes his current rural setup (having moved to Los Baños in Laguna recently) and personally tending to his restaurant Entablado near UPLB. That is why we're actually fortunate to be given the chance to invite him over and be serenaded with a few songs...


In the first installment of his acoustic series, Ebe touches up on his songwriting process, before rendering an emotional, stripped-down version of a single off his solo album Bawat Daan, entitled "Lakambini," which he describes as a fictional love letter from local hero Andres Bonifacio addressed to his wife Gregoria de Jesus, the Lakambini ng Katipunan.
