We're pretty sure you've recently heard this song or at least seen a dance cover from your annoying Facebook friend.
The one responsible for this phenomenon is the Korean girl group Momoland—a brainchild of Dublekick Company, who discovered the members through the 2016 reality show Finding Momoland. But unlike its predecessors Girls' Generation and 2NE1, the nine-piece female outfit appears to have captivated even the opposite sex, who unabashedly shares the group's live performance videos online and enjoys their massive dance track "BBoom BBoom."
In the middle of this testosterone-fueled craze is one of its members, Nancy, whom the other girls Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Taeha, Nayun, Daisy, JooE, and Ahin must be envious of right now. Many have noticed that Nancy closely resembles actress Liza Soberano, including the K-pop performer herself. Momoland held a Facebook live session not too long ago, where Nancy was lost for words upon seeing her Filipino doppelganger.
Are the two legit lookalikes?
Another proof of Nancy being such a hit among men are the fancams spreading like wildfire on social media, zooming in only on her during Momoland numbers. Some might call it borderline stalking, but these videos just show how far the reach and wide the scope of the Hallyu wave has gotten. Yes, Nancy is indubitably beautiful, but her singing and dancing talent help her pop even more.
Next time you come across speakers blasting "BBoom BBoom" with a dance crew practicing their moves, you'll know why.
