The world's biggest music stars gathered and were honored with Grammy Awards yesterday. Beyoncé led the field with nine total nominations. But it was Adele who went home the big winner, taking home the Grammy for Album of the Year for 25. Chance the Rapper was also one of the top winners of the night, as he won two major awards.

Here's a quick recap of what went down (and some of the funniest memes the event inspired) at the 59th annual Grammy Awards.

The highlights:

1) Filipino producer Jhett Tolentino wins his first Grammy

The Tony-award winning producer and The Color Purple team picked up the Best Musical Theater Album prize. Other nominees include Bright Star, Fiddler on the Roof, Kinky Boots , and Waitress.

2) Adele wins Song of the Year

Adele’s hit song “Hello” won song of the year. Other nominations in the category were “Formation” by Beyoncé, “Love Yourself” by Justin Bieber, “7 Years” by Lukas Graham, and “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” by Mike Posner.

3) Beyoncé performs Lemonade hits

While she may not have won all nine awards she was nominated for, the 2017 Grammy awards were all about Beyoncé. The singer wowed the audience with her performance of “Love Drought” and “Sandcastles” from her latest album, Lemonade (which won this year’s Best Urban Contemporary Album). She also kicked off the performance with a monologue about motherhood, as she proudly showed off her baby bump.

4) Chance the Rapper wins Best Rap Album

Chance the Rapper’s album, Coloring Book, beat out hip-hop bigwigs Drake, Schoolboy Q, DJ Khaled, De La Soul, and Kanye West. He also won the Grammy for Best New Artist.

5) George Michael and Prince Tributes

Adele’s musical tribute to George Michael started off a bit messy. “I can’t mess this up for him,” she said, as she restarted the performance. On the other hand, Bruno Mars and The Time paid tribute to Prince by singing his hit song “Jungle Love.”

6) Twenty One Pilots strip down

When Twenty One Pilots' Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun accepted their award for pop duo/group performance for their song “Stressed Out,” they went onstage without their pants. Joseph explained that before, he and Dun and their friends used to watch the Grammys while in their underwear. That was when Dun said “If we ever win a Grammy, we should receive it just like this.” And so they did.

7) James Corden strips down, too

Following a pantsless Twenty One Pilots, James Corden also stripped down as he introduced Ed Sheeran’s performance.

8) Lady Gaga and Metallica collaborate

A technical issue caused Metallica singer James Hetfield’s microphone to not work and so he shared one with Lady Gaga as they performed Metallica’s “Moth into Flame.” Making things more awkward was Lady Gaga's crazy crowd surf.

9) David Bowie’s Blackstar wins big

David Bowie posthumously won five Grammys for his album Blackstar: Best Alternative Music Album, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song , Best Recorded Package, and Best Engineered Non-Classical Album. The awards were accepted by Blackstar saxophonist Donny McCaslin.

10) Adele’s 25 wins Album of the Year

Adele beat out Drake, Sturgill Simpson, Justin Bieber, and Beyoncé for Album of the Year. Adele’s 25 also won for Best Pop Vocal Album. The British singer tearfully accepted her award, and gave this speech in honor of Beyoncé:

“Tonight, winning this kind of feels full circle and like a bit of me has come back to myself, but I can't possibly accept this award,” she said. “And I'm very humbled, and I'm very grateful and gracious, but my artist of my life is Beyoncé, and this album for me, the Lemonade album, was just so monumental. Beyoncé, it was so monumental, and so well-thought out and so beautiful and soul-bearing.”
