We've been raving about Spotify, the stream-all-you-can music service. One thing we really, really love about it are its mood playlists—a few of our faves: Beach Party, HipHop Monsters, American Hipster, and Rock of the World!

Of the many playlists to match our different moods with, one list stuck with us: #ThrowbackThursday. We're nostalgic creatures around here, so when that Spotify playlist featured hits from the '80s this week, we couldn't help but share with you, our bros, 10 of our favorites.

Take this time capsule, and journey back with us to the '80s when new wave, synth-filled anthems, and Top Gun ruled the airwaves!

1) Simple Minds - "Don't You Forget About Me"

The 1985 tune from Scottish outfit Simple Minds became a hit when it bannered John Hughes' coming-of-age flick, The Breakfast Club

2) A-Ha - "Take On Me"

A '90s boy band revived the former Billboard chart-topper, but the original (along with its cool pencil-sketched MTV) still takes the cake!

3) Eurhythmics - "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)"

The new wave duo's greatest hit (it ranked #356 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time) and its distinctly '80s techno-pop style instantly transport us to another time.

4) The Buggles - "Video Killed The Radio Star"
