And so, after numerous long rallies, palm-numbing spikes, awesome blocks, and tili-inducing digs and saves, it has come to this. The UAAP Season 75 Women's Volleyball Finals has been set with the De La Salle University Lady Archers and Ateneo De Manila University Lady Eagles playing the lead roles on the opposite ends of the court.

The first game of the best-of-three series happens tomorrow, March 2, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and, boy, we're telling you hindi namin papalampasin 'to. You shouldn't, too!

To shed light on our fanboy-level excitement, we conjured up a list of why watching the UAAP Volleyball finals will be a high-five filled affair, even if you're not a die-hard fan of the sport or the schools. And, no, it's not only about them girls (although we admit, they help an awful lot).

1) Because this is rivalry reloaded!

While it's true this ain't basketball, we believe that the amazing play we're expecting to see from the volleybelles of both squads will still be driven by college sports' greatest rivalry. They may not admit it but take our word for it, these girls will go all out, not only because this is the goddamn finals but also because this is Ateneo vs. La Salle! That in itself is enough for us to bring out the popcorn and beer on this one.

2) Because these volleybelles will go all out!

If you didn't know it yet, both teams also squared-off last year in the finals with DLSU fashioning out a hard-earned series W. This tells us one thing: The ladies in blue and white are raring to exact sweet revenge. Of course, their counterparts will come prepared since the prospect of having a rare three-peat and a shot at building a solid dynasty is now within their lengthy arms' reach.

3) Because of La Sallian beauties on the court

Aside from ball-busting skills, these ladies have the looks and physique that make for sweeter eye-candy on the court. On the side of the Lady Archers, you've got young, tall and long beauties in Mika Reyes and Michelle Gumabao (pictured above—like you didn't know that already). But don't let their pang-magazine faces fool you, they're mean when it comes to defending against the ball, a big reason why DLSU's game is synonymous with defense.

4) Because of Atenean beauties on the court

Gretchen Ho is, perhaps, the most popular gal in Ateneo's line-up, thanks to her skills and mala-artista looks and appeal. But, if you want to go a bit hipster about things, there are beauties in the team that doesn't get that much attention in terms of looks. Take Fille Cainglet, for example, a tall lady with a cute face and pretty smile that's matched by a great offensive game. There are others in the team, too, as shown by the video above.

So yeah, the players have the faces and sexy athletic bods that will make us sports-lovin' freaks go "ooh-la-la!" And there should be a ton of gorgeous ladies in the crowd as well (like former Queen Tamarraw Rachel Ann Daquis [that's her on the right]) since we're expecting a huge number of peeps to witness the action, many of which belong to the fairer sex. So girls, go support our dear volleybelles and make the camera proud!
