The PBA’s third conference, the Governor’s Cup, starts on Saturday, 19 May 2012, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City. The conference opens with the Alaska Aces facing Rain or Shine Elastopainters and the defending champion Petron Blaze Boosters starting their title defense against the Powerade Tigers.
Each team will be beefed up by imports with a height limit of 6’ 5”. Powerade and Petron, for instance, will be parading former NBA players Rashad McCants and Eddie Basden respectively.
You can catch the games live on AKTV on IBC 13 starting at 4 p.m. every Sunday. Wednesday and Friday games starts at 5.pm. Saturday games begin at 645 p.m.
Now why should you know all these? Well, primarily because the PBA is worth watching again. Skeptical? Allow us to convince you.
1 THE CROWD
Who wouldn’t want to be part of a maddening crowd, screaming their lungs out for their favorite team? Not FHM, and hopefully—and rightfully—neither should you. Just a few weeks ago, FHM, alongside 20,045 other basketball die-hards, was at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to watch that epic Commissioner’s Cup championship series Game 7 between eventual champs B-Meg Llamados and Talk N’ Text Tropang Texters.
