It's official: Petron Blaze Boosters import Renaldo Balkman will never play in the Philippine Basketball Association ever again. This following an unfortunate incident during the Boosters's game against the Alaska Aces last Friday, March 8:
Not seen above: Balkman also shoving a referee, an assistant coach, and another teammate after being called for a foul after, he feels, not getting any call favoring him.
Now we ask Renaldo Balkman: Anyare?!
The former New York Knicks forward has since apologized to everybody, including Arwind Santos, stating the following via his Twitter account: "Everybody does something once in a life they're not supposed to do. At the time I blanked out and went at it. It's my first time ever in my entire life to do that." But because he did that, he became the first PBA import in 15 years to be given a lifetime ban, alongside a P250,000 fine. Ouch!
Lesson learned: Imports should never mess with Pinoys, and Pinoys shouldn't also mess with imports. Wait, what? Y'all don't think that's true and demand a history lesson even after what just happened?
Okay then, here are some proof...
James "Karate Kid" Yap vs. Terrence "I'mma eat you up" Leather
What you're seeing here is James Yap literally kickin' Terrence Leather's ass. What you're also seeing here is James running away like a smooth criminal (or a coward, depending which side you're on). What's not seen here are the moments prior to the incident, when Yap's B-Meg teammate Jondan Salvador was about to go toe to toe with the import.
Yancy "Dugas" de Ocampo vs. Jackson "Push me to the limit and I'll push your head" Vroman
Yancy's air tight (some would say "totally inappropriate") defense totally pushed the naturalized Lebanese Vroman to the limit, prompting the import to butt heads with the veteran after turning the ball over. Vroman delivers on his angas by shoving Yancy...in the head. Labo!
