All throughout the intense game, which the Elastopainters won via come-from-behind fashion, 82-79, Belga's "I'm-gonna-get-under-your-skin" skill was in full display, doing stuff like...
...which made the Ginebra fans inside the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay shout expletives and check their blood pressure. Oh, he also got involved in a few physical and verbal skirmishes with both big (import Mike Dunigan) and small (that poor kid he knelt on, aka Eman Monfort) Ginebra players because, you know, trash-talking is oh-so mainstream.
And then something happened which reminded us of the heated PBA games of the '80s and '90s: After Belga got tangled up with Mark Caguioa in the fourth quarter, water bottles were thrown onto the playing court! Spin.ph reports that at least two Ginebra fans were caught in the act and escorted out of the venue. Crazy!
And what does Rain or Shine's premiere local enforcer have to say regarding his antics? “Mas maraming iiyak, mas marami akong paiiyakin. 'Yun ang gusto ko.” You, sir, just earned the status of Public Enemy No. 1 of Ginebra fans.
Not that we're defending Big Beau's actions, but it's because of plays and statements like these that non-ROS supporters both dislike him and would like the burly bruiser to be part of their team (much like this other, equally-polarizing player). You know that's true. You want someone who's willing to do whatever it takes to get the W.
What exactly can he do for your favorite club that nobody else can give you? A lot. Below are the many "skills" of Mr. Belga (aka Beau's Greatest "Hits")!
It doesn't matter who you are or what team you're in, there's no such thing as a soft foul for him
He uses various parts of his body to send a message, which is usually "Matira matibay"
For all his physicality, he can also be O.A., which results to more physicality
He doesn't like hugs (on the court at least)
He'll taunt you like that big school bully that often gets your lunch money in grade school
Man, he's quite the character, isn't he? Still, it ain't all about the bumps, elbows, and taunts for the big fella; he also has other skills that make him one of the PBA's most reliable big men. We're talking about...
His never-fading willingness to play for the flag

Beau Belga has shown that, even if he's the last man on the Gilas Pilipinas pool and his chances of actually making the team is slim, he's always willing to help out in any way he can.
His basketball IQ

It's not only his willingness that made him a part of the national team pool. According to Chot Reyes, Belga has a "very high basketball IQ" which is important for a player to make the cut.
His three-point shooting

Although he has only made one trey this conference, Belga actually has a history of draining three-pointers, making him an inside-outside threat. The Shanghai Sharks certainly got the memo in an exhibition game with the PBA All-Stars last year, which led to the highlights in the video above.
