The NBA champions just suffered their first loss of the season during their opener against the Houston Rockets and were beaten 122-121 after Finals MVP Kevin Durant failed to close the deal.
At first, Durant seemed to have pulled off the perfect game clincher, but it was later on reviewed and deemed by the referees a split-second too late.
But aside from the actual game and the players, there was a Golden State Warriors fan who took trolling to another level by posing as Klay Thompson and documenting the whole prank during the game.
To this fan’s credit, not only did he wear the shooting guard’s gear to play the part, but his resemblance to Klay was also so uncanny that he was even able to drive into the Oracle Arena while fooling GSW fans into taking selfies with him and signing their stuff.
Klay isn’t the only NBA player though who has a lookalike. Check out these other NBA doppelgangers that would definitely make you do a double take:
Remember LeBron’s viral workout video that Steph Curry and then teammate Kyrie Irving made fun of during a wedding? Well this guy pulled it off:
We don’t know how, but Bleacher Report managed to find this crazy Kobe doppelganger in the wild, complete with the Black Mamba’s signature sunnies.
Back in 2010, then Los Angeles Lakers star Pau Gasol was pretty popular that one fan decided he’d try to pull off an impersonation just for the heck of it.
It’s the other way around for this Thunder star, who usually gets mistaken for Game of Thrones' Jason Momoa. Well, it’s not hard to imagine Steven Adams becoming a double for Momoa, who plays the role of Aquaman in the upcoming Justice League film, since they both have the same build and facial features.
The Cleveland Cavaliers catch-and-shoot expert has a celebrity as his lookalike. Or is it actually the other way around? However you look at it, there’s no denying that Kyle Korver and Ashton Kutcher are like brothers.
The NBA player best known as the ex of Kim Kardashian joins the club of NBA players who have a celebrity lookalike. It’s obviously Taylor Lautner for Kris.
Of course, we can’t leave out Dallas Maverick great Dirk Nowitzki, who not only towers over other stars in the NBA, but also has a lookalike in Canadian actor Barry Pepper.
