One of the biggest remaining free agents, DeMarcus Cousins, has reportedly agreed to a one-year, $5.3 million deal with the Golden State Warriors, and we're not sure if we still want to watch the NBA.
The enigmatic big name, who is also a four-time All-Star and two-time member of the All-NBA Second Team, saw his MVP-type 2017-18 season (25.2 ppg 12.9 rpg 5.4 apg 1.6 spg 1.6 bpg) for the New Orleans Pelicans cut short (48 games) by an Achilles injury. With Cousins teaming up with Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, that's a potential All-Star five on the floor for the already impervious Warriors.
It's safe to say that this deal is signed, sealed, and delivered:
Boogie's addition is a low-risk, high-return move for Golden State, considering the history of said injury on big men. But if he is able to return to form, a golden season (82-0) isn't too farfetched. That said, why don't we just give them the trophy?
