The expression "turn back the clock" has become a cliche when used to describe a big game from Dwyane Wade. But there is more to him eclipsing Larry Bird for the 10th spot on the all-time playoff scoring list, and the Miami Heat prevailing over the Philadelphia 76ers, 113-103, to tie their first-round series at a game apiece.

Once the dust has settled, the 36-year-old's line looked like this: 28 points on 11-17 shooting, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals, including a clutch stepback jumper that helped the Heat seal the deal. "Father Prime" really took it to the relatively young and heavily favored—especially after the Game 1 blowout—Sixers.

This wasn't the case a few months ago, when Wade was seen as one of the washed-up veterans that did more harm than good to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now that he's back in Miami, the three-time champion and 12-time All-Star is reminding everyone why it was called Wade County in the first place.

Credit the Heat's solid perimeter play (Goran Dragic 20 pts 8-14 fg, James Johnson 18 pts 7-7 fg), but Wade being stellar off the bench was the X-factor to overcome Philadelphia's fresh legs (Ben Simmons 24 pts 8 reb 8 ast 2 blk, Dario Saric 23 pts 9 reb 5 stl). And social media couldn't agree more:

Can't believe were actually in 2018

People forget that this guy won Finals MVP in 2006

Now Joel Embiid is aching to play in Game 3

Defenders have been dumbfounded for a decade and a half now

The wife says it best

Who knows if Wade will be able do this again, but just for one night, he was the best player in the court again.
