Yes, NBA fans, the worst has happened.

Less than two months into the season, the returning Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose is out for the remainder of the season again—this time due to a meniscus tear in his right knee, which is, worth noting, not the knee that suffered the ACL tear in 2012.

Rose suffered the injury during a game against the Portland Trailblazers last November 22. The former MVP underwent surgery today at the Rush University Medical Center and his return this season has now been ruled out.

We can only imagine how hard it will be for Rose to try and recover again, especially after expending that much energy—both physical and emotional—to come back from the ACL blow. We are self-confessed Derrick Rose fans here, so we definitely feel for the guy.

But if there's anything that we've learned from Manny Pacquiao's post fight interviews, it's this: The best athletes can indeed make a resounding comeback. We'll see you next year, Mr. Rose!

Because we'll be missing this Alpha Bull until he returns, we share with you the transcript of our interview with Derrick back when he visited the Philippines last September. We asked him to sum up the ACL recovery process in one word, and his answer then was this: "Hungry." If he can remain that way, then maybe there's hope for the tormented star.
