Two celebrities pitched themselves in to play for their respective cities in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League a long while ago, and while we've shown you what Xian Lim did on his MPBL debut for Mandaluyong El Tigre, it now seems like Gerald Anderson isn't far behind.
Gerald has been playing for the Marikina Shoemasters for quite some time, but hasn't found his footing on the court. But in yesterday's game against the Navotas Clutch, he made a considerably big impact putting up 6 points, all from beyond the arc. He also nabbed 4 rebounds, dished 2 assists, and snatched 2 steals in their victory.
Gerald has not posted about the game on his social media accounts. It's obvious that he's not just some celebrity who only cares about being in the spotlight and getting the attention of the press, he's also a team player and spends time with his Marikina Shoemasters teammates.
He even went with the entire team for team building exercises and some all-around brotherhood balling fun.
Hell, when Marikina was flooded, he and his teammates lent a helping hand to the evacuees.
Good job, Gerald!
